Sam & I moved to Canaan in August of 2012 to take over the existing Black Forest Bakery. Slowly over the last 8 years, they have evolved it into the bakery as it exists today... or rather, as it existed until mid-March, when we were suddenly forced to close due to the pandemic.
When it's open, the bakery serves made-from-scratch pastries, breakfast & lunch. I'm still baking lots of pastries and making custom cakes to order - email me here if you'd like to order something! We hope to re-open the bakery sometime this summer, but in the meantime, you can find us hustlin' and slingin' burritos and other tasty stuff at the Bistro.
